Marea

from the Italian “mare” — sea, and “area” — place

A name that evokes openness and calm —
a place shaped by the rhythm of the sea and the stillness of light.
Marea is not simply a dwelling, but a state of presence
where architecture dissolves into the horizon,
and every space breathes with the sound of the waves.

Between shadow and salt, architecture learns to rest — as summer becomes a state of being.

The residence unfolds along a clear, linear circulation axis that organizes the composition and defines the flow of spatial experience. Along this axis, individual volumes and intermediate open spaces are strategically positioned, so that each pause reveals a new frame toward the endless blue.

Openings are conceived as moments of connection with the landscape — designed to allow natural ventilation, the diffusion of light, and an uninterrupted visual dialogue with the sea. The architectural clarity of lines, combined with the use of natural materials such as stone and exposed concrete, creates a seamless continuity with the surrounding environment.

The simplicity of form is not a limitation but a conscious choice of calmness. The boundary between interior and exterior fades away, as space becomes an experience of light and air — a silent conversation between architecture and landscape.
